The Role of The Barbados Golf Association

The Barbados Golf Association (BGA) is the governing body for golf in Barbados and has seen it mandatory to continue to advance its impact on the local golf landscape and play a more vital and supporting role, in concert with the business sector, course owners and government to enhance the golf product. Currently, the Association is managed by an executive of seven persons and has an approximate membership of 700 which is growing yearly. Our long-term objective is to make golf accessible to all strata of society. We can achieve this objective by encouraging players to become members of the Association so that we can have the resources to present a totally sustainable package for player development, more organized tournaments and access to available facilities.
